Senior Associate Engineer
As a Senior Associate Engineer, you will play a vital role in leading and directing the complete design of projects, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and acting as a Project Manager on various sized projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing technical quality and accuracy, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development strategies. This role requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Projects include a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure and treatment process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform moderate to advanced design and engineering tasks, develop broad knowledge and skills within the discipline, and ensure technical quality and accuracy.

Deepen client relationships, manage consulting contracts, and ensure client satisfaction on all projects.

Direct activities and outcomes of project teams, oversee multiple projects, and provide constant oversight and guidance.

Partner with Operational, Technical, and Sales leadership, ensure project delivery, and support the achievement of financial goals for the business unit.

Foster team building, align project profitability with organizational performance goals, and collaborate with operations managers to achieve revenue growth and profitability goals.

Conduct performance reviews, handle recruitment and hiring, and proactively address performance challenges. Lead people moves to achieve business and project team productivity.

Play a consistent role in strategic planning, form and lead guiding coalitions for implementing change, and mentor new leaders through application of successful methods.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related scientific discipline required. Master’s degree preferred but not required.

7+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain PE.

Proficiency in various software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, and Microsoft Products.

Ability to interact professionally internally and externally, read and interpret technical documents, and communicate effectively.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exchange ideas, and treat others with respect.
