Minimum Education:   

  1. High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 

  1. 5,000 hours of professional scheduling within the past five (5) years
  2. Alternatively, 3,500 hours with a Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)


Abilities:

  7. Schedule documentation and reporting techniques
  8. Scheduling data management information systems
  9. Scheduling techniques to include resource leveling, schedule compression, simulations, Gant Charts
  10. Quantitative and qualitative analysis, performance index, baseline execution index, float analysis
  11. Contract schedule requirements
  12. Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
  13. Sitting for extended periods of time.
  14. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  15. Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  16. Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  17. Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  18. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  19. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  20. Identify and understand the speech of another person.

Physical Requirements and Safety Certifications

  1. Occupation Safety Haz-Mat
  2. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Security and Work Locations:

  1. Work is primarily in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA but you may travel for extended periods to other shipyards in the USA and to other Navy ports outside the USA
  2. You will work at government facilities.  You must be a US Citizenship eligible for clearance.
  3. You must pass a background investigation
  4. Valid driver's license

Demonstrated experience with the following:

  1. Microsoft Project Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  2. Ability to create POA&Ms for multiple system installations.
  3. POA&Ms shall show proper sequencing of work utilizing predecessor and successor links, and include manhours for each element, allowing proper identification of critical path and task float.  Dependencies shall be shown for technical relationships between elements (e.g. foundations precede mounting of equipment) and for resource limitations (e.g. Heliax team is otherwise dedicated).
  4. POA&M shall include key milestones for efforts related to system, such as Software Load and SOVT, including milestones for efforts other team(s) may be executing under other tasking.  This is to ensure all task relationships are maintained for effective coordination, especially in the event schedule changes occur. 
  5. Ability to create Cost Estimate Work Breakdown Structure Report
