Job Description
Position Summary:
Administrative assistant position will be responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical duties which will change often.  The person in this role must possess a high level of attention to detail, be able to take instruction, and communicate well with others.  In addition, this person must be able to take initiative, work autonomously, and be a self-starter.  This person will be asked to work at a jobsite located at Fort Benning, GA. 
                                                                                                      
Essential Functions:
  • Will provide administrative and clerical support to the Project Manager and Quality Control Manager onsite.
  • Ensure all drawings received are adequately logged and stored.
  • Generate and maintain purchase orders and property management plan.
  • Receive, submit, and maintain quality and testing documentation for purchased material.
  • Accumulate, record, submit, and maintain quality inspection and testing documentation.
  • Performance of security clearance by coordinating badge applications with subcontractors for processing and approval.
  • Accurately compile and prepare various reports for supervisor’s use.
  • Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items (i.e. expense reports, supply requisitions, personnel transaction forms, operating budgets, etc.) per supervisor’s authorization. 
  • Process in-coming and out-going mail; open, stamp, sort for priority, distribute, etc.
  • Screen phone calls/solicitors and greet office visitors.
  • Continually and effectively interact with supervisor, subcontractors, engineers, and anybody else associated with the various project teams.
  • Compose and/or edit letters, memos, reports, procedures, and various other communication documents.   
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s request.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Education and experience requirements include:  High school diploma/college degree preferred, 2 years related experience.  Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Proficient in various computer software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, RMS Army Corps software and comfortable learning new software systems as needed.  Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant working in the field of Construction is required.

Job setting is a general office environment.  Job requires employee to sit, walk, stand, climb, bend/twist at the neck, bend/twist at the trunk, squat/stoop/kneel, reach above head, reach forward, push/pull, lift and carry on a regular basis.  May be asked to occasionally lift up to 10-20 pounds.
