Job Description
Position Summary:
Hiring Assistant Superintendent for New Construction and Renovations for Northeast Florida. This position requires a minimum of 3-years of relevant experience in Construction.  

Responsible for:
Providing supervisory assistance for craft employees and subcontractors assigned to a particular discipline or work area: i.e., civil, mechanical, erection or structural steel, rebar, duct work, etc.
 
Essential Functions:
- Capable of coordinating with many Subcontractors
- Assist as a liaison between subcontractors, field engineering, estimating, and crafts to ensure compliance of construction with renderings and specifications
- Schedule driven – capable of managing scheduled processes on a daily basis and long-term ensuring project success
- Advises and assists senior level supervision with all activities related to the field; reviews and approves field manpower requisitions for the employment of craft labor
- Performs system/product verification on completed systems/products to assure correct installation per design specifications
- May assist with and/or oversee the preparation of accurate, detailed, written daily reports
- Provide assistance to Site
Safety to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel at the job site.
- Monitors subcontractor operations icluding enforcement of all contractual obligations
- Initiates and obtains acceptance of back charges to subcontractors.
- Understands and applies the Company's labor relations 
policies
- Skillful communicator for client/subcontractors
- Makes recommendations and participates in the planning of construction operations
Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
 
Qualifications:
- High School with Trade School/degree preferred
- 30 Hour OSHA certified (training is provided as necessary)
- 3 years' experience as a superintendent on projects larger than 7 million, at least 3 years DOD project experience.
 
Skills/Competencies:
Able to perform the following activities:  standing and walking for long periods of time, stooping, bending, climbing (ladder, scaffolding, steps, etc.), driving trucks and construction equipment.  Ability to push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects.  Able to withstand weather elements (including but not limited to heat, wind, rain, etc.).  Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.  Proven leadership and supervisory capability is required.
