Job Description

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Seven+ (7+) years of experience in the Navy Integrated Logistics Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of the Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy Integrated Logistics Support System
  • Demonstrated experience receiving and inventorying government configuration items and assigning configuration identification numbers
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and configuring item control procedures and configuration item databases
  • Demonstrated experience with automated Configuration Management (CM) solutions
  • Experience defining traceable items and identifying methods of tracking identification
  • Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Candidate with active-duty Military experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing CM on DoD programs or projects
  • Seven+ (7+) years of experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) programs
  • Thorough understanding of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process
  • Thorough understanding of NSWC operations
  • Demonstrated experience in one of more of the following configuration management disciplines:
    • CM Planning
    • Configuration Identification
    • Configuration Control
    • Interface Management
    • Configuration Audits
    • Configuration Status Accounting

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives and inventories government configuration items and assigns configuration identification numbers
  • Establishes and maintains configuration item control procedures
  • Maintains configuration item database and product web-based reports on content of database
  • Produces reports indicating status of configuration items and communicates to management
  • Assists developers with assigned configuration items
  • Conducts periodic inventory reviews and communicates results to management
  • Maintains and reports the inventory of Government Furnished Property (GFP)
  • Maintains and inventories Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) in accordance with the NAVSUP Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Control and Management (HMC&M) & Pollution Prevention (P2) Programs
  • Defines traceable items and prescribe method of tracking identification including serial or lot control
