Job Purpose

We seek highly motivated candidates for an opportunity to join the Content Strategy & Acquisition (CSA) team which supports ICE's market data content requirements, procurement, and analysis. The Senior Analyst, Content Strategy & Acquisition is primarily responsible for supporting the content acquisition process at ICE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial negotiations with new and existing North American market vendors.
  • Liaison with Product Management in capturing their data requirements and transforming it into a term sheet or directly into a template inbound licensing agreement.
  • Respond to and confirm contractual requirements or obligations for internal ice stakeholders but carefully reviewing existing inbound agreements.
  • Utilize market data contract management tools to prepare reports, including upcoming contract renewals and expirations.
  • Support management team through creation and maintenance of tracking tools for open items.
  • Support CSA team by reviewing and processing addendums, new order schedules, etc as needed, liaising with internal groups to coordinate broadest content use and negotiate with 3rd party data vendors in minimizing cost.
  • Support rights management - utilizing and maintaining rights management tools, compiling and managing internal feedback, monitoring and actioning user changes in line with contracted user quotas in line with best practices, conduct review of terms and conditions language and interpret based on business requirements.
  • Support process for market data access requests for internal users.
  • Support of 3rd party vendor terminals (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, S&P, IPREO, Zoom) to ensure ICE is abiding by our subscription, transfer of licenses within ICE and reporting of users where necessary or required.
  • Support, coordinate and notify Finance on content acquisition, fee changes and support future budget forecasting.
  • Manage commercial relationships with regional market data providers as required.
  • Support the management of internal and external research requests - manage and compile feedback from CSA team, track communication and recommendation between CSA and stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of cost saving initiatives.
  • Participate in and support content related projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in industry conferences and workshops.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong understanding of market data and the financial markets.
  • 2-5 years market data licensing and rights management experience.
  • Experience with reviewing, editing and drafting commercial language for inbound data licensing purposes preferred.
  • Experience with working with Legal for inbound data licensing agreements preferred.
  • Experience with negotiating market data contracts preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Relationship management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with real time, delayed, end-of-day and historical market data licensing concepts preferred.
  • Experience in licensing data for redistribution, index creation, sustainable finance, and derived data use cases preferred.
  • Prior experience using market data management tools.
  • Prior experience with a market data vendor and/or market data management within a financial institution preferred.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 82,400 - 110,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
