Atlas Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to provide leadership and guidance in managing technology projects for our growing organization. Our ideal candidate is an expert in identifying customer and client needs and managing multiple projects and distributed teams. This position will serve as the Project Manager for one of our major contract programs. Our Project Manager will be accountable for high level oversight of various IT Projects, client relationships, personnel development, and the coordination of necessary resources. The ideal candidate will be a shrewd, dynamic, innovative and engaged leader experienced in the details necessary for DoD contracts and will lead the activities of our IT Services Teams, the major programs we support, our personnel, and all activities necessary to ensure the overall program success.

Payband - $115,000 - $170,000

Travel Expense - 20%

You Will:

  • Work closely with stakeholders, IT engineers, and product teams to deliver the most efficient use of resources and technologies to our customer.
  • Work with all stakeholders to identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs and technical constraints to maximize business benefit.
  • Oversee a variety of IT Services Teams, synergizing them to mission success.
  • Direct and execute task/delivery orders as defined in the applicable contract.
  • Define, communicate, and deliver on project milestones, deliverables, service levels.
  • Communicate issues and solutions to senior leaders.
  • Measure project performance to stay within established budgets and timelines, while providing exceptional quality.
  • Monitor and update spend plans, adjust allocations to revised budget controls.
  • Assist with estimation, preparation, and justification in planning, programming, and budgeting activities.
  • Mentor and foster professional growth and development of team members.
  • Participate in key meetings regarding new business opportunities and assist in opportunity evaluations and proposal efforts.
  • Accountable for instilling and implementing Atlas' core values, vision and goals to maximize the contribution to the company's key product and service offerings.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and demonstrate a mature project management approach in managing technology projects.
  • Work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, and/or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Work closely with technical experts/project leads to ensure timely completion of deliverables with focus on meeting project commitments, and quality control.
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.

You Have:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire date. (TS/SCI preferred)
  • Experience with requirements gathering and creating IT specific requirements traceability matrix or functional requirements documents.
  • 8+ years' experience serving as a Project Manager or in a leadership position coordinating tasking with team members.
  • Experience taking a project through to completion from requirements to deployment and experience working with customers.
  • Expertise within Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Experience in using Microsoft M365 suite of products (Teams, Planner, OneNote, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentations.
  • Experience with process improvement and process mapping
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills
  • The ability to connect with the customer and your personnel allowing for open communication between each with an emphasis on servant-leadership.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Full understanding of contract deliverables: MSRs and CDADs.
  • Knowledge of contract financials.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, preferred. Other and non-degree are acceptable with commensurate experience.
  • PMP certified and experience executing IT Projects
  • Min. five (5) years' project management experience within DOD/DHS contracting environment, managing risk, cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Min. five (5) years' experience leading and growing a highly technical workforce.
  • Must be adept at using Microsoft products (SharePoint, Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in IT related field
  • Lean Six Sigma certified
  • Experience with US Coast Guard and/or US Navy
