PACCAR WINCH Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR. PACCAR Winch Inc manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists, and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets. We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Our business is growing, and we are seeking an to add an Industrial Engineering Intern to our Team. This position is an on-site office position located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Industrial Engineering Intern

Job Functions / Responsibilities:This position will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment; that will test and develop your analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work on targeted projects that require operational observations, data collection/analysis, cross-functional communication, and problem-solving. This role will provide support for the manufacturing engineering team of the day-to-day operation and project-based assignments. The focus will be on continuous improvement and business optimization for operations.

Qualifications & Skills:The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in Industrial Engineering or related field and have completed at least their sophomore year of college. This will be a temporary Internship opportunity.

The skills that are important to be successful in this position are as follows:

  • Competency with Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 2016 - 2019 and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Assist in planning of new or modified production process
  • Design or improve equipment and machines to ensure efficiency and reliability
  • Testing and evaluating production process to achieve stable result
  • Enforce quality control procedures to avoid production line problems
  • Adhere to safe job practices in industrial environments
  • Conduct time studies and analyze data
  • Compiling and analyzing data associated with Lean Six Sigma projects
  • Support to the manufacturing engineering team to analyze factory equipment (tools) & processes
  • Lead projects to manage capacity and to optimize fab flow
