You are a key member of the Office Experience team responsible for the staff and visitor experience at BCG's flagship office in Boston. Serving as the first point of contact for clients and visitors to the BCG office, the Concierge Assistant is valued as the "Chief of First Impressions". In addition to guest management, you will triage meeting support requirements including conference and guest spaces and perform other administrative tasks as necessary.

YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Working with many types of people - from clients and visitors, to vendors, employees, and teammates - you can adjust your working style to each individual and gauge proper priority levels seamlessly while offering a positive customer experience.
  • Working in a very tight knit, feedback-oriented, collaborative team setting.
  • Being a focal point of contact (POC) for the office and being able to direct and facilitate internal and external inquiries in line with office policies
  • Coordinating meeting support, acting as primary POC for meeting organizers and communicating and delegating meeting needs to appropriate teams (i.e. Office Services, Catering, IT, Events, Building Security & Management), ensuring day-of is smoothly executed.
  • Written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Executing detail-oriented tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Flexibly moving between proactive and reactive mode with the ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrating critical thinking and interpersonal skills in an environment that requires juggling competing priorities among a variety of stakeholders
  • Setting up a high standard of hospitality by providing guidance to colleagues and visitors in a concierge setting, rather than that of a traditional reception desk

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Openness and receptiveness to meeting new people - culturally sensitive and have a passion for making guests and colleagues feel at home and welcome with a sense of pride
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to control emotions, remain patient, and maintain service-oriented behavior while working efficiently in stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and display professional behavior at all times
  • Strong organizational and process management skills and are comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritizing within a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a professional environment - concierge experience in a hospitality setting preferred
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - willingness to learn new systems as relevant to the needs of the operation
