The Director of Marketing Management, Enterprise and Cross-Market, plays a critical role at McKesson Medical-Surgical. This position, reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Management, oversees two teams responsible for customer-facing marketing activities.

The Enterprise Marketing Management team, reporting to this role, focuses on developing and implementing marketing to support sales and gross profit goals in the Enterprise market. This market includes Government, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Health Systems, Retail Pharmacy, Payors, and Oncology. The Director will serve as an extended member on the SVP of Enterprise leadership team to ensure alignment between business and marketing objectives.

The Cross-Market Marketing Management team, also reporting to this role, is responsible for creating marketing strategies to meet the needs that span across Enterprise, Extended Care, and Primary Care Markets. This team collaborates with various business and marketing teams to understand and tailor marketing for each market, while maintaining a consistent brand experience for customers.

This role must have expertise in marketing strategy, planning and execution, excellent stakeholder management skills and possess a broad understanding of healthcare market dynamics with an especially deep understanding of the Enterprise market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dynamic team of Marketing Managers and Specialists in creating compelling customer-facing marketing activities across the funnel from expanding awareness and equity to penetration that drives growth.
  • Marketing point of contact for Enterprise market leaders. Active member of Enterprise SVP leadership team and proactively manages series of regular engagements with Enterprise segment leaders to gain insights into business needs, align on priorities, and develop strategic plans to drive shared business goals.
  • Marketing point of contact as needed across Extended Care and Primary Care leadership team and cross functional partners to gain insights into business needs, align on priorities, and develop strategic plans to drive shared business goals for Cross-Market needs.
  • Spearhead the development of an annual marketing strategy and plan for the Enterprise and Cross-Market, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and designed to deliver on shared MBO goals including revenue and profit.
  • Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless alignment and support for marketing initiatives.
  • Continuously measure and evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns and initiatives, leveraging key performance indicators to assess ROI and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to drive innovation and inform marketing strategies.
  • Provide inspiring leadership and guidance to the marketing team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams, vendors, and key industry partners.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of marketing activities and maximize the impact of marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years management experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on healthcare or related industries.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Experience across a wide range of marketing strategies from account based marketing to programmatic.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics, customer segmentation, and industry trends.
  • A strategic mindset, with a bias for action and the ability to think critically and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute impactful marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and utilizing key performance indicators to measure campaign effectiveness and inform decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies and platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of compliance with regulations and guidelines within the healthcare industry.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$123,800 - $206,300
