Velocity Urgent Care (now solely owned by Sentara Health) is seeking detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Clerks to join our team. These are temporary roles to support with our data entry needs as we transition our clinics to a new several new systems. The ideal candidates will have strong typing skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate data in our systems and databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Input, update, and maintain accurate data in company databases and systems.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data as necessary.
  • Retrieve data from various sources and prepare reports as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by following company procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with data cleanup and organization projects as directed by management.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar role.
  • Excellent typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with data entry best practices and procedures.
  • Experience with data entry software and systems is a plus.

Job Summary

Utilizes computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve information as requested. Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establish entry priorities. Summarizes data and generates contract reports. Keep accurate, up to date and useable data.

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
