Trinity Washington University invites applications for nursing faculty positions within the coeducational School of Professional Studies (SPS).

Successful applicants will teach courses in the pre-licensure BSN nursing program, as well as in the RN to BSN program.   Responsibilities will also include course development, academic advisement, service on university committees, clinical teaching and oversight, research & scholarship, and assisting with recruitment efforts for the nursing program. 

Specifically, we are searching for faculty to teach in the following areas of nursing:

1. Assistant Professor (Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator)
2. Assistant Professor (Medical-Surgical Nursing) - 10 or 12 month position      
3. Nursing Clinical Instructors (pediatric, psychiatric, and medical surgical nursing) - part-time instructors
4. Nursing Adjunct Professors - part-time to teach theory courses

In order to teach at Trinity, nursing faculty will need:

 *RN licensure in good standing in the District of Columbia
 *Minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing
 *Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered nurse

Although teaching experience is preferred, mentoring is available for individuals new to teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who are strong team players with demonstrated commitment to professional development, student success, and Trinity's campus culture and values. Personal qualities of patience, caring, and empathy are of utmost importance for consideration as a faculty member in Trinity's nursing program.
