Posting Description |
|
To evaluate and approve or recommend disapproval of consumer loan applications/lease agreements, requests for refinancing and extension of existing loans, and changes or release of collateral within the limits authorized by the Credit Committee. To provide guidance and training to decentralized lending Loan Officers.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Your success with attaining and performing the required skills and abilities will be enhanced if they consist of the following:
Experience in a financial institution (preferably in a credit union) that demonstrates knowledge of consumer lending policies, pertinent federal laws and regulations
Experience involving the application of lending principles, financial practices, and the investigation and evaluation of credit factors and risks, which includes making credit decisions
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interpret and apply regulations, instructions and procedures
Ability to work independently, to exercise judgment and initiative
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with individuals in difficult situations
Experience that demonstrates thorough knowledge, understanding, and application of consumer lending policies of the credit union, NCUA rules and regulations, and pertinent federal laws ?
Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume work environment
Additional Expertise
You are strongly encouraged to submit your credentials should you also possess:
Familiarity of the overall functions of the credit union
Keyboard Experience
Background in counseling or interviewing persons concerning financial matters
Education above the high school level
